In response to your reply to my reply on your previous post, about you not posting any more of your ZZ stories. I completely understand, and when you get your book published, I will be there eagerly waiting to buy my copy so I can read all about ZZ's adventures! I know a few other people who would find those stories absolutely delightful too :) :)Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06719226642700362070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3722487213190553031.post-39668863773505173932012-06-06T02:10:06.350+01:002012-06-06T02:10:06.350+01:00Hi Becky,

Glad to hear that you're getting through the work though, I bet it will be a relief when you've finished it all! :)

You deserve your body to give you a break!!!!! Compression of the ulna nerve sounds incredibly painful. Great that your appointment has been brought forward, but the 19th seems far away considering you're in pain.... I hope the wait isn't too painful, and that the Gabapentin helps.
You may already know this, but I'll share some of my nursing expertise (lol! I once worked on a surgical ward with lots of patients on Gabapentin and I remember a few things.....) Some people find that reducing the dose of Gabapentin and slowly increasing it back up to your prescribed dose can help overcome the nausea, also taking it with food can help too. Do you take an antiemetic? That might be helpful....
Also, (not that this will be any help to you but I'm a geek and find things like this interesting), there has been lots of research into taking gabapentin pre-operatively to reduce post-operative pain, nausea and vomiting. Apparently it's rather effective, I find it so interesting that a drug can have completely opposite effects on different people!

Anyway, sorry for getting carried away on your blog!!! Take care, Becky.
Hugs, Dawn xxDawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06719226642700362070noreply@blogger.com
